Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ½ cup Drink Nature chocolate protein powder
- 1 tsp liquid vanilla
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 3 tbsp unsweetened applesauce
- 3 tbsp almond butter or peanut butter
- 1/4 dark chocolate (85% or 70%), chopped
- ¼ tsp stevia or 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
- 8-10 pitted dates
Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix the rolled oats, protein powder, and sugar (or stevia, honey, or maple syrup).
- Add the liquid vanilla, applesauce, and almond butter (or peanut butter). Mix well until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.
- Add the chia seeds, continuing to mix. You can use your hands if it's too difficult to mix with a spoon.
- Roughly chop the pitted dates, add water and blend them lightly in a mixer, then incorporate them into the mixture.
- Depending on your preference, form bars by spreading the mixture in a baking pan lined with parchment paper, or shape small balls with your hands.
Chocolate Preparation
- Put water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Take another heat-safe dish. Melt the chocolate in the bowl until it is smooth.
- Dip the balls in the chocolate to form a chocolate shell.
- Place the bars or balls in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to firm up.
