Chocolate protein energy balls

Ingredients
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- ½ scoop of Drink Nature chocolate protein powder
- 1 tsp liquid vanilla
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 3 tablespoons of unsweetened applesauce
- 3 tablespoons of almond butter or peanut butter
- 1/4 of a block of dark chocolate (85% or 70%), cut into pieces
- ¼ tsp of sugar or stevia
- 8-10 pitted dates
Preparation steps
- In a large bowl, mix the oat flakes, protein powder and sugar (or stevia).
- Add the liquid vanilla, applesauce, and almond (or peanut) butter. Mix well until smooth.
- Chop the pitted dates (or lightly blend them with water in a blender) and then incorporate them into the mixture.
- Add the dark chocolate pieces and mix gently to distribute them evenly in the batter.
- Depending on your preference, form bars by spreading the mixture in a baking pan lined with parchment paper, or shape small balls with your hands.
- Place the bars or balls in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow them to firm up.
